BaskZone® – BH4C Horse Solarium

The BaskZone® BH4C Horse Solarium uses the latest BaskZone infrared emitters to produce a large pool of shortwave infrared warmth, giving wrap-around coverage of the entire horse with no uncomfortable hot spots. Effective for infrared therapy, this equine solarium will provide rapid, thorough drying right down to the skin in 12-18 minutes.

BaskZone heaters provide gentle background warmth exactly like that of the sun. This form of infrared does not heat the air directly, so will not drift away in a normally ventilated stable. Safe to leave on overnight, BaskZone stable heaters reduce the need to rug horses, improving skin and coat condition, and saving time and laundry costs.

The shortwave infrared from the BHC4 BaskZone Horse Solarium is readily absorbed into the horses skin and muscle tissue. Skin and coat condition will improve, and the coat will develop a perfect horse show sheen without chemical conditioners. BaskZone heaters are great for foaling mares and convalescent horses too – the gentle background warmth reduces bacterium which can contribute to respiratory conditions and speeds up wound healing.

Mounted above the horses’ line of sight, BaskZone heaters emit a gentle red glow which does not affect the horse’s internal biological clock. However, it does allow discreet observation overnight and avoids the stress caused by switching white lights on at night.

The BH4C BaskZone Horse Solarium comes with a 6kW energy saving heat controller and a 6kW push button timer. Simple to use, you can easily fine-tune the heat intensity of all heaters  simultaneously to accommodate horses and ponies of all sizes. The push-button timer ensures the solarium is not left operating indefinitely.  Safe for use in wash-boxes, the BH4C Horse Solarium is designed for durability, flexibility and a long operating life.

Like all of our horse solariums, the emitters are mounted safely to the sides of the stable or wash-down bay, so the horse is free to move around (no stocks required) while the handler has full access to work on the horse under the solarium.
